Important 2016 General Primary and Run-off Dates

General Primary & Runoff – 2016

The General Primary and all NON-partisan races are decided in a May election, with a July runoff (if necessary).

You do not need to register with a party to vote, you must simply be a registered voter and can choose your desired ballot on the day you vote.

To vote in this election, you must be registered by April 26, 2016.

You can check your voter registration at https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do

We’ll be setting up at 10AM at John W Saunders Park, 1151 River Street Valdosta, GA. The Pride Festival is open noon to 7PM. Volunteers are welcome all day, especially 12-2 and 4-7. Come meet lots of Democrats and have a good time!

Outcome of 100 Black Men Voter Registration

10408820_818967828115421_2851154694820190758_n The Lowndes County Democratic Party registered voters at the 100 Black Men of Valdosta annual BBQ at the Courthouse Square in Valdosta, GA on August 2, 2014. Many people who registered were previously registered at previous addresses but needed to be registered at their current address. It is very important for one to be sure that they are registered at their current address for when it comes election time in November.
