Young people in south Georgia, please vote this Tuesday:
Hi, my name is Glenn Ritchie,
and I’m one of the youngest members of the Lowndes County Democratic Party.
Young people in south Georgia have a chance to have their voices heard in this election,
like never before.
It is important that you vote,
this Tuesday, November the 6th, so that you can have your voice heard.
Early voting started this week in Georgia.
Turnout decides elections.
If you go ahead and vote now,
at the Board of Elections, 2808 N. Oak St., Valdosta,
you won’t have to worry about precincts or lines on Election Day!
After you vote for
candidates for office,
you will also find on the ballot referendums for five constitutional amendments and two laws.
Below the image are recommendations from the Lowndes County Democratic Committee (LCDC),
which met October 1, 2018.
All Democrats registered to vote in Lowndes County are invited to
the Lowndes County Democratic Caucus to elect 12 Democrats to the
Lowndes County Democratic Committee (LCDC) for four-year terms.
LCDC is the governing authority of the Democratic Party in Lowndes County. Duties are
To promote development of Party organizations and activities,
To seek and encourage qualified candidates for public office,
To support Democratic nominees,
To perform such primary and election functions as required by law,
To maintain appropriate records,
To promote and add logistical support to the State Affirmative Action Program,
To perform such other duties as may be required by the State Committee,
To elect State Committee members,
To determine Party Districts and Apportionment,
To raise funds for the above purposes.
Tuesday, September 9th, at their regularly
scheduled meeting, the
Board of Elections discussed this
request and voted in the affirmative to have 1/2 day of
Sunday voting on the day after Saturday voting in years
where there are federal candidates on the ballot.
