To encourage voting, and to support Jason Carter for governor of Georgia,
Rosalynn Carter will speak at the historic Lowndes County Courthouse
at 6PM tomorrow, Thursday, 9 October 2014 (facebook event).
Mrs. Carter is the former First Lady and grandmother of Jason Carter.
She is a founder of the
Carter Center in Atlanta,
where she chairs its
Mental Health Task Force.
She is also chair of the
Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving (RCI) at
Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus,
and she is the author or co-author of several books.
Plus she was involved in all of Jimmy Carter’s campaigns for governor of Georgia and for president of the United States.
Jason Carter debated his opponent for governor last night in Perry, Georgia.

Both statewide and Lowndes County
nonbinding questions will be on the primary ballot May 20th,
so remember to turn out and vote in the primary.
Everyone in Lowndes County who takes a Democratic primary ballot can vote on these questions.
That’s the same date as the special election
for Lowndes County Commission District 5,
so be sure to vote for that, too, either
in your precinct on May 20th

or at the Board of Elections in early voting April 28 – May 16.
