We hope to see you live on Monday, December 07, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.!

Dear Lowndes County Democrats,
Now that we have succeeded in our efforts to turn the state of Georgia blue regarding our presidential election, it is time to do the same with the US Senate, so that Biden and Harris have the support they need to right the ship.

In order to successfully do so, we need your help in finding enough volunteers. Please also ask family members and friends who you think can help us with our efforts.

These volunteers are needed for the following:
1) Poll-Watching During Advanced Voting

Advanced (or early) voting at the Board of Elections starts on Monday, December 14.

Because advanced voting takes place at the Board of Elections, fewer volunteers are needed than on election day, but it will be important that we are present to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that every voter/vote counts.

Those able to volunteer must register with the DPG by Tuesday, December 1. I would also appreciate it if everyone would directly let me know if they are able to help. You can either do so by sending me a brief message or by forwarding the registration confirmation to me.

2) Vote Review Panel

The work of the vote review panel at the Board of Elections starts on Monday, December 21.

All indications are that we will have an even larger number of mailed-in ballots than for the general election.

At this time, likely workdays for the vote review panel are: December 21-23, December 28-31, and January 4-7

Those interested in helping with the vote review panel, please directly contact me at

3) Poll-Watching on Election Day (Tuesday, January 5, 2021)

Lowndes County needs 26 volunteers to serve as poll watchers on January 5. This number is needed to comfortably cover all 13 precincts (one volunteer for the morning shift / one volunteer for the afternoon shift).

Those able to volunteer must register with the DPG by December 20. I would also appreciate it if everyone would directly let me know if they are able to help. You can either do so by sending me a brief message or by forwarding the registration confirmation.

I don’t know about you, but these last couple of months felt like living in a bizarre version of “Groundhog Day”, one of my favorite movies. Let’s make sure that we use the time until January 5, so that we can wake up on January 6 with the knowledge that we also turned the US Senate blue!

Michael Noll

DPG provides the online training (link below). You can watch the 2 hour, 21 minute training in sections. You must complete the training before your first poll watching session.
Thank you for volunteering to be a poll watcher!
Dennis W. Marks
Vice Chair (Elections)
Lowndes County Democratic Party
Cell Phone: 229-630-8486

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who helped in the election – getting out the vote, putting up signs, phone banking, driving voters to the polls, directing traffic, cutting radio ads, recording robocalls, and serving as poll watchers, poll observers, monitors and adjudicators. Thank you all! We turned GEORGIA BLUE!

At this time, President-Elect Biden is ahead in Georgia by 10,600 votes. Lowndes County Democrats provided 20,117 votes for Biden. Without Lowndes County Democrats, Biden would not be ahead in Georgia!

But our work is not yet done. As it stands now, there will be a Runoff for Public Service Commission (PSC) District 4. The PSC sets the rates for gas, electricity, etc. The Democratic candidate is Daniel Blackman. Daniel Blackman was the keynote speaker at the 2019 LCDP BBQ. He came through for LCDP, on very short notice. We need to come through for him!

The Runoff for State and Local Officeslike the PSC, is on Tuesday, December 1. Early Voting will start as soon as possible. (I’ll share the schedule as soon as I receive it.) The deadline to register to vote was October 5.

The Runoff for Federal Officeslike the US Senate, is on Tuesday, January 5. Early Voting will run Monday, December 14 – Friday, January 1, except holidays. The deadline to register to vote will be Monday, December 7.

One can vote in the Runoff for Federal Offices even if one did not vote in the General Election. We need to register everyone who isn’t registered now! The easiest way for someone to register to vote is by smartphone: go to

Ask everyone in your network to go to on their smartphone or computer, to check their voter registration, to register to vote if not already registered, and to request an absentee ballot if not already requested. It’s all at MVP.

Turning 18 by January 5? Register by December 7 to vote for Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock for U.S. Senate! Go to Anyone who has completed probation and fines can register to vote! Anyone who is a citizen can register to vote!

The Democratic candidates are Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael WarnockVOTE for BOTH! If both win, the U.S. Senate will be tied 50-50. Vice President Kamala Harris would then cast the tie-breaking vote, giving control of the U.S. Senate to the Democrats!

Not a moment to waste, Democrats! Get the word out now about voter registration and absentee ballots:

To All Lowndes County Democrats:

This is your chance to help turn Lowndes County BLUE!

The 2020 Election is here and Lowndes County Voters are turning out.

A big thank you to the great team of Early Voting Poll Watchers who have committed to watching Early Voting inside the Board of Elections office.

And a big thank you in advance to our Democratic Team of PBPM/VRP monitors for the paper ballot processing monitors and vote review panels that start October 19.

Outside Poll Watchers for Early Voting (poll watching is done in shifts)

Inside Poll Watchers for Precincts on Election Day, Nov. 3 (work is done in shifts)

This is the Election of our lifetime- our Democratic values and our children’s future are on the line.  This is your chance to say, Yes, I will- I will do my part for All of Us.

For more information call Dennis Marks at 229.630.8486 or email

Let’s Do This!

Early vote outside fill-in volunteers:

For outside Early Vote poll watchers who want to be shifted in the remaining days of early vote as outside observers, they need to first sign up through our poll watcher registration form ( ) and note in comments section at end of form something like want to do early vote outside poll watching in Lowndes – please call to schedule me for shift(s).  Volunteers will need to select an Election Day shift on this form – we don’t have the option to select early vote at this point so if they can’t do Election Day, only want outside early vote, they’ll need to note that in the commetn section at the end and we can remove the election day selection on our end.  After registering through the form above, volunteers can also email to request that someone on our team call to schedule them for outside early vote shifts.

Election Day poll watchers:

Register to join the Election Day poll watching team here and you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the information you’ll need to get up and running with a few short training videos and other resources we have for poll watchers.

With just less than 40 days to go before early in-person voting starts, Georgia Democrats need to sign up 1,000 more poll watchers before October 1st to make sure we can cover our priority polling locations across the state. We need your help.

We need poll watchers. We’re coordinating with the Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG). Please sign up to be a poll watcher:

We are less than 60 days out from Election Day and are getting to the point where we need all hands on deck. If you are all able to volunteer once a week for an hour from now until Election Day, that would only be about 10 hours of your time over the next two months. It is critical that we all do the most that we can if we want to see Georgia light up blue for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. If we want Dr. Treva Gear representing us in the State Senate, we need to be on the phones making sure people are able to cast a vote for her.

We will be phone banking every Thursday from 4-7 pm and from 10-7 every Saturday. If you need to be trained on the phones we will be able to set that up as well. We are also working on starting text banking on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well. I will link the signup to Thursday phone banking here. If you are interested in any of these opportunities or have any questions please reach out to Nathan Lavender, Field Organizer for the Democratic Party of Georgia, Phone# (404)-861-3708;
