Candidates at Monthly Meeting 2017-10-02

Come out to hear and meet the candidates face-to-face. Many of them already spoke at the annual LCDP BBQ in July and at the AAUW Candidate Forum in September, and you can see the videos of those first, if you like. Then come and hear, see, ask questions, and offer to help a Democrat get elected.

VALDOSTA — Food, fellowship and festivities are on the agenda for th[e] Lowndes County Democratic Party meeting this week. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at Mathis Municipal Auditorium, 2300 N. Ashley St., according to an organizational press release. Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased from any Lowndes County Democratic Party committee member or at the door.

What should be on the platform of the national Democratic Party? 13612121 1097103057031216 2226897264174949346 N At least two delegates to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) will be at the LCDP BBQ, one of them our own LCDP Secretary Gretchen Quarterman, who was at this weekend’s Platform Committee meeting in Orlando. She will be circulating a survey for you to fill out.

In addition to delicious BBQ and live music, you’ll hear from Ted Terry (Mayor of Clarkston GA), Jim Barksdale (Georgia U.S. Senate Candidate), James Harris (Democratic Candidate for US Congress 8th District), Gregory Williams (Democratic Candidate for State Senate District 8), Ashley Paulk (Lowndes County Sheriff candidate), Joyce Evans (Lowndes County Commissioner District 1), Teresa K Moffitt (Democratic Candidate for Lowndes County Commission District 5), and other Democratic candidates who are working to improve the lives of all Americans. The meeting will be informal and we will discuss issues facing this community in particular, how to support Democratic interests in this community and the recruitment of new members. March Monthly LCDP Meeting

IMG_4384The next monthly meeting for the Lowndes County Democratic Party meeting will be held in the lobby of the Lowndes County Board of Elections at 2808 N. Oak St. Valdosta, GA 31601 on March 2nd, 2015 at 6:00 PM. This decision was made due to requests of a few members who remarked that there was too little room for members during the February meeting. Please mark your calendars for this event and come watch the LCDP continue to grow.
