To prepare for tonight’s meeting, here are videos of last month’s packed meeting at the Board of Elections with the Lowndes County Democratic Party listened and discussed with business speakers.
Public transportation was a very popular topic, as already recommended by both the Chamber and the Development Authority so employees can get to work. As Jim Parker pointed out the necessary $1 million a year would require 1 mil of property tax, or about $60 per property owner. Buses could even run on green corridors!
The speakers were:
- Myrna Ballard, President, Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce
- Andrea Schruijer, Executive Director, Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority
- and Baha Zeidan, CEO, Azalea Health
You can help promote the local economy and elect Democrats by becoming a member of the Lowndes County Democratic Party today.
