I’m looking forward to next Monday’s (February 2) potluck meeting
from 6:00 to 7:00 (1008 Slater St.) with guest speaker Dr. James
LaPlant. We’ll be talking about how Georgia is “in play,” and what
we can do to turn South Georgia blue! Allison and I will be bringing
a kale, walnut, parmesean cheese dish. Can everyone list any food
items you will be bringing so that we ensure a good variety? Thanks.

I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It is with a heavy heart
that I inform you that Vicki Pennington, long-time treasurer for the
LCDP, passed away on Friday, January 2nd at South Georgia Medical
Center. Vicki was a wonderful person and valued member of our
community. Arrangements are in the care of the Carson McLane Funeral
